AFN has recently installed a hybrid CCTV solution for Chep at Rosehill, NSW. By combining encoders and the advanced HD Witness Video Management Platform, AFN incorporated Chep’s small existing analogue infrastructure within the framework of their new CCTV system which included fifteen ISD Jaguar cameras.Two of these cameras are transmitted approximately 200 metres across the yard via a wireless Tranzeo link with another ten of the ISD Jaguar cameras being installed inside the shed where the lighting is very diversified. These cameras cover the work stations for occupational health and safety whilst another two cameras give a general view of the entire warehouse.

The resolution of all cameras through HD Witness far exceeded the client’s expectations. Chep now have complete surveillance of their site and are easily able to identify registration numbers of entering vehicles as well as pallet numbers sitting on trucks.

AFN aims to eliminate DVR and CCTV installation pain with ISD’s Jaguar range of IP cameras

AFN Security today announced a new distribution agreement with Innovative Security Designs (ISD) to bring the company’s DVR-free range of IP cameras, Jaguar, to Australia for Security 2012 Exhibition, to be held from July 25 – 27 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.

At a price-point anywhere between $2,500 to $20,000, depending on an organisation’s size, industry and needs, DVRs are quite often the deciding factor in whether or not a company moves forward with a new security system. ISD’s technology addresses these pain points by making the DVR obsolete; effectively cutting out labour and having technology on-board intelligent enough to report on human traffic in real-time.

“The reason many businesses cringe at adding or replacing a surveillance system is that the most expensive line items in a quote are by far the DVR and labour,” says AFN Security Managing Director, Darren Ruger. “With the release of ISD’s new Jaguar line of IP cameras, we are able to eliminate the need and with it the cost of the DVR, in addition to the difficulties associated with installing IP cameras – typically a much more daunting task than analogue camerainstallations.”
